Don't go stating this thing as a Therizinosaur because it is not.It's a bird...A bird you don't want to mess with.And about the long bony tail.....Birds native to Erukin have long bony tails so don't go yelling "Therizinosaurus!!!!!" when you see this drawing.

Scythe Birds are giant flightless birds native to the open woodlands and tropical forests of Erukin.These birds have one huge claw on each hand,hence their name.These birds are generally peaceful,preferring to run than fight but when one gets cornered or when a predator,for example a Taleran War Cat,threatens its young,better watch out.Those giant claws can kill!These birds are browsers,eating leaves from trees and fruit if it is in season.These birds resemble the Therizinosaurs of prehistoric Earth.The earliest human settlers on Erukin even thought that what they are seeing are Therizinosaurs.

Scythe Birds breed twice a year.The male is the one who looks after the eggs which are dark brown in color.Females generally lay 6 eggs.Eggs hatch after 5 weeks.The young are well camouflaged.The chicks leave their father when they reach 5 months old.

Scythe Birds are sometimes hunted for game.Their large meaty legs are a favorite in restaurants.Their claws can also be used for sword sheaths.
